The Mnemosyne Foundation

Dialogue, in which discussion and debate ensues between a teacher and a student, along with the related system of dialectic are time honored formats for the presentation of ideas. In the spirit of directed conversation, the Dialogos site is dedicated to the formulation of a lexicon of terms and concepts related to the Humanities and Liberal Arts based on first hand commentary and primary source material.

Above is a listing of selected essays that we welcome you to enjoy. Simply choose from the drop down menu by clicking on the arrow, highlighting an essay with your cursor and clicking again.

This section of the Dialogos sitelink is dedicated to historical primary source material. It features – mostly through translation of original texts – the ideas of widely recognized and highly regarded thinkers of the past regarding the human condition and especially the nature of human potential.
